The AKPsi Mu Pi Chapter of Elon University, a nationally recognized professional business fraternity, is hosting its first ever Trent Stetler 5k run/walk in honor of a former brother. In January 2015, our chapter was greatly affected when this brother sadly took his own life. Since then, our philanthropy has been the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. This past semester, our campus faced two more tragic losses that affected our faculty, students and our community as a whole.

The 5k’s purpose is to honor Trent, raise awareness about suicide prevention, fundraise for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, and be an outlet for students; because, too often, topics like this are only brought up after a major event. However, our efforts in this 5K can't fully take effect unless we have the support of everyone in our community.
